Tips for a Bad Day

Sage the bad vibes away.

Are you having one of those days? this is a little reminder to check in with yourself if you are.

Bad day check in:

➳ Have you eaten? sometimes we can feel off because our blood sugar levels our out of whack. check in with your belly

➳ Are you hydrated? dehydration causes your blood pressure to drop & heart rate to raise. this makes you feel all kinds of crappy. sip water regularly throughout the day

➳ Have you moved your body? going for a walk to get your blood pumping and limbs moving can give you a boost of energy and a release of serotonin ⠀

➳ What’s on your mind? sometimes we can be having negative thought patterns or worrying about things without even realising that we are. try journaling for an emotional dump and be mindful of the type of thoughts you’re having.

➳ Are you tired? when we are anxious or stressed, we tend to not sleep the best. sometimes just not having good quality sleep the night before can make you have an awful day. consider having a short midday siesta or treat yourself to an early night ⠀

➳ Ladies, are you due for your flow? approaching our period, hormones can go haywire. sometimes it’s nice to feel reassurance that it’s just that time of the month that’s making us feel off

➳ Has something happened recently? are you feeling down and out about a person, situation or circumstance? call a friend or reach out for some professional help and talk it out.

➳ If all else fails, chuck on some comfy clothes, brew some tea, diffuse some relaxing oils, choose a funny movie or your favourite book to curl up with and give yourself permission to take a day of rest.

A MANTRA: “today I’m taking care of me & my needs and that’s ok. tomorrow will be better, but today is about rest”
