Get Grounded with Nature

Turn to Mama Nature.

When you’re feeling down and out, fatigued, lost, disconnected, anxious, wired, overwhelmed, distressed or just generally unhappy, it can be a good idea to turn to Muma Nature

Nature therapy can support you to feel grounded, calm, connected to Self and your surroundings and can give you the space to reflect and switch off from your external world

Being in nature is said to lower blood pressure, heart rate and stress levels. anyone suffering with anxiety, depression, high stress or chronic illness could definitely benefit from more time outdoors

Nature therapy ideas:

➳ go for a dip in the ocean. salt water has healing properties and gives you a magnesium boost. it is the ultimate cure for everything

➳ try earthing. walk barefoot in the sand or on the grass. this is the quickest way to feel connected to the earth & helps with feeling grounded in your body

➳ get something vitamin d. 20 minutes of sunshine a day can boost your serotonin levels (the feel good chemical)

➳ have a picnic. instead of eating lunch in your office or home, grab a picnic blanket, pack up your lunch and go sit in your local park or beach to shift any stagnant energy from the morning

➳ watch the sunset. if you’re feeling fear of the unknown, watching the sunset at the end of the day can be a reminder that no matter what, that sun will rise again tomorrow. this can also be a great way to start your bedtime ritual

➳ watch the clouds roll by. lay down outside and make pictures out of the clouds. this can help with a monkey mind and anxious feelings

➳ up with the sun. watching the sunrise in gratitude can be a beautiful way to start your day. meditating during this time when the world is quiet is also very healing

➳ if you’re having a horrible day and can’t pull yourself to get outside ~ download the insight timer app, put some head phones on & listen to some nature sounds, sit in stillness, focus on your breath & repeat this mantra “no one needs anything from me right now”….

Now breathe.
