5 Gentle Reminders

Just remember that…

  • Healing takes time: and when I say time, I mean weeks, months, even years. there will be moments of one step forward and two steps back, moments where you want to give up and moments where you feel like you’re finally in a good place and BOOM, a trigger comes out of nowhere that may break you.

Know that it is all relevant and part of the journey to build your strength & resilience and learn lessons along the way.

  • Nothing happens over night: things take time. especially good things. keep working at it, even when you feel like your treading water and getting no where sometimes.

Consistency is key and will get you far. just keep swimming.

  • The only person you need to compete with is yourself: the less you worry about what other people are doing, thinking or saying ~ the more energy and time you’ll have to spend on nurturing yourself, growing and becoming the person you want to be.

Don’t worry about what they are doing, focus on yourself.

  • Small wins help achieve big goals: acknowledge them & celebrate them because they are stepping stones to the bigger picture.

They say the purpose is not the destination but the journey.

  • There’s no shame in asking for help: period.
